Its that time of year again that bestbet pulls out all the stops and runs raced over all distances for the holidays. You heard me right! On Saturday evening December 9th at bestbet Jacksonville we will run stakes races over 330, 550, 660, 770, and 990 yards! Yes 8 stakes races in total over all the distances at the racetrack. This was such a popular promotion last year that we have brought it back again in 2017. In conjunction with our cash and prize giveaways, and our second chance drawings, bestbet Jacksonville is going to be hopping this upcoming Saturday evening. Tonight, Monday December 4th, we will run the prelim races over 550, 660, and 770, 2 races each, and the top four finishers will move on to the finals as the bottom four finishers will move on to the consolation races. Mark your calendars as you will not want to miss all the heart racing all distance stakes action that will be taking place at bestbet Jacksonville this Saturday evening, December 9th.

Now let’s take a closer look at the qualifying races for 550, 660, and 770 yards.

Monday evening December 4th, 2017

Race 5 – (660 Yards) – Loads of possibilities here with several stakes caliber greyhounds in the mix. Rt Banana Foster held the lead to the far turn in the recent Orange Park Derby Finals, and could do it again tonight. Hot off a win, she should wire this field on the lead. Closing late to challenge from a great post should be Lk’s Fanciful, who has 2 straight quinielas from the outside posts. Ww’s Jax Straw needs to find her break, but she too could be a force on the front end from an idea starting box, and don’t sleep on Kmz Kraken. The former sprint track record holder, can run this far, and if she gets loose early, she might be upset minded tonight. (5-8-2-6)

Race 7 – (550 Yards) – I know she might be getting a little long in the tooth, but the 8 box is her best box, so you have to like the over 90 race winner, Real Good Feelin. This little girl can win with out without the lead and can close by almost anyone at the racetrack late. She will find her gears and get back on top again tonight. The greyhound with the best shot to beat her has to be Drink It Off. This phenomenal pup has won 8 of 14 starts and his last 3 races in a row. A closer, he will be coming late too, but will have to keep up the pace as she tries to get revenge for their last match-up. Others to consider include, and always threatening L’s Sum God and the solid grade A who has been in the money in 6 straight, Dutch Doreen. (8-7-5-2)

Race 9 – (770 Yards) – Not too tough of a choice in this race. Three of the greyhounds won a round of the recent Thanksgiving Marathon, including the one who took home the top spot in the finals. This one more come down to what order you like them in. I’ll take the hot hand, and the 1 box, in Royal Clarion. A box to wire romp in the finals saw her as the champ and tonight against this field I think we see a repeat performance. Dutch Dalton might have finished out of the money in the finals, but his prelim win was a thing of beauty. He likes it outside and should contend hard again here. Jack’s Jet Speed has won 2 of his last 3 races over this distance and those have come from nearly the same post he has here. Watch for him to break and challenge throughout again tonight, and don’t sleep on Super C Amy either. Winning might be a stretch, but she should factor early and hold on in the super late. (1-7-3-6) Race 10 – (550 Yards) – Tough field here as 6 of the 8 greyhounds have a win in grade A showing in their lines. The other two have B wins showing and are factoring ok in their grade A starts. Old school pick here as Hey Hey Daddy gets another chance at a stakes title. With back to back wins, and a good starting box, eh might just find that old mojo and post up a W in this effort. Trying to ruin his plans will be the Always breaking and contending threat, Lk’s Black Gold, who has finished in the quiniela in 5 of 6 races. Puppy upstarts Kiowa Sure Wild and Fix A Drink have both won half of their starts at bestbet Jacksonville, including a pair of grade A scores in their last 4 starts. If wither of them get loose early, they could easily take home the top spot at the wire. (3-8-6-7)

Race 11 – (660 Yards) – Tough to pick against the hottest 660 greyhound going right now, so I won’t! Craigie Avatar has won 2 races in a row, and 4 of her last 6 starts, all from off the pace. She gets her best starting box tonight and from here she can even break to the lead on occasion. She is as strong as they come late and will be a force to stop in this effort. Trying to outmaneuver her will be the IronHound Champ, Boc’s Queen Lady. Always around the lead, always round the pace, and always around at the wire, Queen Lady knows how to contend, and we will see her best effort again tonight. Especially from the rail post! Setting the pace should be Nb’s Paris Hilton from the rail. Why? She has been first to the lead in 5 of 6 races and has finished in the money in 6 straight trips. She is short late and will be caught again tonight. Like A Boss also gets a looky loo here. This closer like it outside and could be a late threat to the leaders as they approach the finish line tonight. (8-2-1-6)

Race 15 – (770 Yards) – Tough to ignore a couple of greyhounds in this race. Dutch Casey was the runner-up in the finals of the Thanksgiving Marathon Challenge and gets to start this race out from the exact same post. You know he will be closing in fast, but he better not let Lee Banshee steal too much early on. She hit the lid and won the consolation race for the Thanksgiving Marathon in a faster time than the finals. She is tough on the lead and if she hit the lid tonight, she might just run off and hide from this field on the lead for the win. Aintgunnawastit might be in grade C, but don’t let that fool you. This greyhound was a monster in grade A earlier this year and absolutely loves this distance. She can close fast in the stretch and will make her presence known at the wire. Good Luckchigger also deserves a chance to shine tonight. She too likes the distance, and with 6 of 7 career races in the money over 770 yards, she cannot be forgot about tonight. (7-2-8-4)

Don’t forget about the finals on Saturday evening as we feature races over all distances. We will have great cash and prize giveaways after races 3-10 and second chance drawings from races 2-11. You can earn extra entries by placing wagers this week on Jacksonville greyhounds at the live racetrack. So, you better get your reservations early as this place will be packed and rocking on Saturday evening.
