Steve Sarras Kennel’s TS Steph Curry is the lone unbeaten greyhound after two rounds of the $35,000 West Virginia Greyhound Owners and Breeders Assocation Juvenile Championship at Wheeling Island.

TS Steph Curry posted his second straight victory Saturday afternoon to accumulate 30 points heading into the Wednesday, Oct. 31, semifinals. The championship final is set for Saturday afternoon, Nov. 3.

Points after the second round follow:

30 points – TS Steph Curry.

25 points – CG’s Lady Bug, JA’s Shell Game, Mac’s Jacks.

20 points – CET Hellen Ann.

17 points – Mac’s Priscilla.

14 points – Coach Stalnaker.

13 points – CET Nippin Nola.

12 points – GLS Spicnspan.

10 points – Mac’s Navabi.

9 points – Mac’s Dog Patch, CG’s Lucust.

8 points – Mac’s Blacklist, Mac’s Rose.

7 points – Mac’s Hammerhead.

6 points – Coach Shine.

Eliminated from the stakes event are TS Stipe Miocic, 6 points; GLS Blue Penny, 5 points; and GLS Blackbelt, 3 points.

I was introduced to greyhound racing by a friend in the late 1970s at Wheeling Downs and fell in love with the sport and the athletes immediately. Throughout the years, I have developed a deep passion for racing. In the mid 1990s, I started writing a weekly greyhound column and shortly thereafter became a writer for The Greyhound Review.
