DUBUQUE, Iowa – The field has been set for the $30,000 King And Queen Stakes at the Iowa Greyhound Park with the running of the third and final qualifying round on Saturday, June 29.

Form mostly held, on each side three of the four leaders advanced.

The biggest jump on the Queen side came by JD Tonic (Stidham & Brindle). She was tied for fifth going in and ran second in the third round for a total of 32 points. She then won a coin toss with Monica Belluci, the second-round co-leader, for the last spot.

Princess Danni (Copper Kettle) ran fourth in the third round and finished with 33 points, good for third place.

JD Revelation (Stidham & Brindle) was a third-round winner. That boosted her to 48 points and a second place in the final standings.

Brooklyn Beauty (Copper Kettle) was the other third round winner. She finished with 52 points to lead the Queen standings.

On the King side, JS Drews Money (Copper Kettle) won in the third round to jump from sixth to the final championship spot.

American Gas (Superior) had a third-place finish in the third round and joined JS Drews Money with 40 points.

Boots Randolph (Stidham & Brindle) was the other third round winner and jumped from a tie for fourth to second.

Bossman Jake (Copper Kettle) held onto the top spot among the Kings despite a sixth-place finish in the third round.

The four Queens and four Kings will vie in the Championship race on Thursday, July 4. For the record, the Queens hold an 18-17 lead.
