Imark Kennel’s CET Barracuda tops all qualifiers for the Friday afternoon, Sept. 23, championship final of the $35,000 West Virginia Greyhound Owners and Breeders Association Juvenile at Wheeling Island.

CET Barracuda posted her third consecutive victory Sunday afternoon in the semifinal round, bumping her point total to 45. The sprinter was the only greyhound to make it through the early rounds undefeated.

Completing the championship final field are CET Fernando (Imark), 33 points; CET Marlin (Imark), 32 points; Arroyo Roxanne (Code Red), 30 points; CET Tiger Boy (Steve Sarras), 29 points; CET Moto Moto (Steve Sarras), 20 points; Mac’s Monreaux (A Ray) and CET Sashaliagotti (Steve Sarras), 16 points each.

Capsule looks at the semifinal races follow:

CET Barracuda posted a box-to-wire 7 ½-length victory in 29.92. Arroyo Roxanne finished second while CET Piranha rounded out the trifecta ticket.

CET Tiger rushed to an early lead and was never challenged in winning by 7 lengths in 29.88. CET Marlin was second while CET Sashaliagotti got up for third.

The top eight greyhounds have advanced to the stake final:

CET Marlin (Imark), 32 points

Arroyo Roxanne (Code Red), 30 points

CET Tiger Boy (Steve Sarras), 29 points

The following greyhounds have been eliminated from the stake event:

CG’s Boy Blue (Code Red), 8 points
