DUBUQUE, Iowa – Jackson Greyhounds and the T And T Kennel each saw two of its greyhounds win first-round races in the $30,000 Future Stakes on Friday, September 9 at the Iowa Greyhound Park.

AT’s Frednbarney (T And T), the probable pre-Stakes favorite, opened the first round by winning the first of the six races going away by four and a half lengths. Frednbarney is an 81-pounder born Dec. 8, 2014 out of PG Tiger – Flying Kresley. His overall record for the 2016 season at IGP is 21-11-3-2.

The T And T Kennel also got a victory from JT’s Time To Go, 17-6-4-3, who went box-to-wire from the six box. She held off a charging RF River (Superior), 19-7-2-2, to win by a half length.

The Jackson Greyhounds picked up wins from Jax Gee Wiz and Natalya Simonova. Jax Gee Wiz, 21-6-7-1, won going away by three lengths. Natalya Simonova, 10-4-0-4, won going away by five lengths.

XK Win For Us (Xtrem Hess), 20-4-8-1, went to the boxes as the 24-1 longshot in her race. She surprised the patrons by winning by a length and a half.

The remaining first-round test went to Monkey Way (Clayton Black). She went box-to-wire from the three box to win by eight and half lengths. Monkey Way, 24-6-3-2, had the best time in the first round for the 5-16 mile course, 30.30 seconds.

The pups return to the track for the second round on Wednesday, September 14. The luck of the draw put three of the first round winners, AT’s Frednbarney, Monkey Way and XK Win For Us, into the same second round race, the fourth on the program.
