Cardinal Kennel’s Varoom Esme has seven wins and two seconds in her last nine races (A, AA) for trainer Jerrod Varner. Kennel-mate Kiowa Jean Angie has three straight victories (M, D, C).

Abrahamson Kennel’s Backwood Trouble has six wins and a second in her last eight Grade TAA 3/16 starts for trainer Tom Engle.

Jacobs Racing Kennel’s GLS Lover Boy has captured five out of his last six Grade TAA 3/8 trips for trainer Louise Strong.Kennel-mate Kinda Cruel Red has three victories and a second in his last five Grade AA outings.

Valor Racing Kennel’s Kiowa Myth Reach has back-to-back Grade AA wins for trainer James Roche.

A Ray Kennel’s PJ Takeyourtime (A, AA) and AMF Pound Sand (A,AA) have two straight victories for trainer Joe Palmer.

Wayne Ward Kennel’s WW Just Gold has two wins and a second in his last three races (B, A) for trainer Ron Otto.

I was introduced to greyhound racing by a friend in the late 1970s at Wheeling Downs and fell in love with the sport and the athletes immediately. Throughout the years, I have developed a deep passion for racing. In the mid 1990s, I started writing a weekly greyhound column and shortly thereafter became a writer for The Greyhound Review.
