Fabulous Fraulein Morgan Leads all Derby Semifinalists!

TRACK WIN LEADER FRAULEIN MORGAN LEADS ALL SEMIFINALISTS!

West Palm Beach, Fl. - The fourth and final round of qualifying for Palm Beach Kennel Club’s $50,000 James W. Paul 3/8ths Mile Derby takes place Sunday afternoon February 19.

Starting with an original field of 32 hopefuls, there are now 16 Greyhounds who have a shot at making the final eight and an opportunity of winning the $25,000 first-place purse.

Heading into the semifinals, track win leader Fraulein Morgan leads all the semifinalists, scoring two wins and a second. Following close behind are O Ya Maybelline (two wins and a third), Janice Dean (two wins and a fourth) and Wicked Twista (two wins and a fourth).

The lineup for Sunday afternoon’s semifinals:

RACE 12

1. Fightin Flo (Omar Dodger – Fire And Heat, Arthur Agganis Kennel)

2. Barts Seabreeze (Gable Oscar – Seadon Enchanted, James Douglas)

3. Barts Wanna Bet (Fuzzys Cannon – B’s Merry Mary, James Douglas)

4. RY’s Priscilla (Djays Octane – Oakland Handcuff, Brindle Kennel)

5. Cry Carbon (Djays Octane – Cry Hope, Brindle Kennel)

6. O Ya Maybelline (Defrim Bale* - O Ya Norma, Janie Carroll)

7. Dutch Jackie (Flying Coal City – Karen Adams, Lester Raines Kennel)

8. Go Bon Kickstart (Djays Octane – Go Bon Pure Lee, Royal Racing Team)

1. Mouth Ofthesouth (Pat C Clement – Greek Tome, Rader Racing)

2. Fraulein Morgan (Kiowa Mon Manny – Fraulein Kaci, Janie Carroll)

3. Wicked Twista (Dyna Nalin* - Luxurious Trent, North Shore Kennel)

4. AMF Ex Taylor (AMF Ex President – Budz Trix, B & B Racing)

5. Quail Road (BD’s Grayson – Flying Finch, Royal Racing Team)

6. Atascocita Dago (Atascocita Bowl – Atascocita Edith, Suncoast Kennel)

8. Barts Realsmooth (Pat C Clement – Barts Accountant, James Douglas)

The top-eight point earners following Sunday afternoon’s semifinals will comprise the $50,000 Derby championship field.

The 86th running of the Three-Eighths Mile championship final will be contested in the twelfth race Saturday afternoon, February 25, and is one of the nation’s longest running stake events.

The Derby is named in honor of humanitarian, greyhound owner and dedicated supporter of greyhound adoption James W. Paul.
