Charter Kennel’s Fortune City has three wins, a second and a third in his last five Grade AA starts for trainer Dorothy Tober. Kennel-mate Barts Deerhunter has three victories and a second in his last four 3/8 races (TC, TB, TAA).

Steubenville Kennel’s PG Athena has back-to-back Grade AA wins for trainer Michael Piqutte.

Patriot/Taplin Kennel’s Chris Dalhoe has three victories and three seconds in his last seven 3/8 trips (TC, TB, TA, TAA) for trainer Joe Otto.

Brad Boeckenstedt Kennel’s L’s Imari has won three out of her last four outings (B, A, AA) for trainer Chris Brill.

Jacobs Racing Kennel’s Story Of My Life has captured three out of her last four 3/16 starts (TB, TA, TAA) for trainer Louise Strong.

Lester Raines Kennel’s Fly Aqib Talib has back-to-back 3/16 wins (TA, TAA) for trainer Joel Roden.

I was introduced to greyhound racing by a friend in the late 1970s at Wheeling Downs and fell in love with the sport and the athletes immediately. Throughout the years, I have developed a deep passion for racing. In the mid 1990s, I started writing a weekly greyhound column and shortly thereafter became a writer for The Greyhound Review.

I have enjoyed watching and writing about these wonderful competitors, including All-Americans DD's Nelson, Kiowa Sweet Trey, Gene's Champion, WW Apple Jax, Greys Royalcrown, Nimby TP Jan, Hi Noon Hero, Gable Sour Cream, KB's Ruckus and Cry Case.
