Thursday, January 25, 2018

Fire Blitzen secured a spot in the February 3 Sprint stakes at the Naples Fort Myers Track following another win in round three. The stunning rare blue male won last years event. Immediately following that stakes he stretched out and scorched the field to take the 660-yard stakes as well.

Fire Blitzen has returned this year blazing the field. He is an April 2014 son of Dragon Fire and Cry Heather. He shares the top spot at 40 points with kennelmate LA's Peter Piper for trainer Claudia Quintero of the DQ Williams kennel. Xtrem kennel's DS Dasher also sits on top in the three-way tie for trainer Jill Spicer.

Three seminal final heats will be featured Saturday January 27. The top eight point getters will become this years stakes finalists in February 3.
