Lester Raines Kennel’s Kiowa Safe Grow has three victories and two seconds in his last five races (A, AA) for trainer Joel Roden. Kennel-mate B Flying Blake has back-to-back 3/16 wins (TA, TAA).

Steve Sarras Kennel’s CET Bella Vic has won three out of her last four Grade AA trips for trainer Barbara Long.

Blanchard Kennel’s Arkans SL Wakie (A, AA) and Ya Thats My Girl (B, A) have back-to-back victories for trainer James E. Blanchard.

Wayne Ward Kennel’s WW Offthe Record has two straight wins (B, A) for trainer Ron Otto.

I was introduced to greyhound racing by a friend in the late 1970s at Wheeling Downs and fell in love with the sport and the athletes immediately. Throughout the years, I have developed a deep passion for racing. In the mid 1990s, I started writing a weekly greyhound column and shortly thereafter became a writer for The Greyhound Review.
