Pup Naming Giveaway - Your Chance to Name a Racing Greyhound!

It’s summer and that means it is normally time for the NGA's annual pup giveaway to benefit the Hall of Fame.

This year, however, will be a little different. With fewer greyhound pups being whelped each year and each of those pups becoming more and more important to owners and kennels, there just isn't the availability there once was to offer "giveaway" pups. And in light of those conditions, we are changing up this year's campaign to offer pup naming rights, as opposed to actual pups being given away.

Drawing tickets are being offered under the same terms as usual, but instead of drawing for pups to be given away at the fall meet, we will be drawing for participants to win naming rights to various pups from various owners, breeders and kennels.

This will be the 52nd straight year that the NGA has held this type of fund raiser to benefit the Greyhound Hall Of Fame. All proceeds from the event will go toward the hall, which was built in 1973. The annual campaign began just one year later.

NGA Members, Greyhound Adopters, Racing Fans and Friends have an opportunity to participate in the campaign by completing and sending in tickets for drawings that will take place during the Fall Meet on Thursday night, Oct. 16 at the Hall of Fame in Abilene. The pup naming prizes for this summer’s campaign all come from successful owners and breeding programs. This year’s contributors are Steve Sarras, Julia Ward, Tracy Wildey, Richard Armington and Rachelle Henry.

This is an annual Fundraiser for the Greyhound Hall of Fame, a non-profit, 501(c)3.

$2 per ticket entry suggested donation. No purchase necessary. Prizes to be awarded Oct 16, 2025 in Abilene, KS. Winner does not need to be present to win. Hint: to buy multiple tickets, you may have to refresh/re-enter your ticket price once before adding "Add More."

Online tickets purchased by WA and Idaho residents will be refunded. Residents of these states, please see your NGA Review, emailblast or download paper tickets for mail in entries (download will be available soon!)
