CET Dirty Dilly capped off a spectacular year of racing by capturing the $100,000 Mardi Gras Challenge at Tri-State Greyhound Park in late December. The CET Kennel sprint star, sent to post as the overwhelming favorite, rocketed right to the front from the seven box and was never seriously challenged in winning by 1 ½ lengths in 29.84. Superior Kennel’s Superior Bonnie took runner up honors while Double G Kennel’s Flying Okahana rounded out the trifecta ticket.

Completing the final finish were John J Rambo (RS Racing Kennel), fourth; Fly L Donald Jr (Double G Kennel), fifth; KBJ Powerplay (RS Racing Kennel), sixth; RS Felicha (Lester Raines), seventh; and Turbo Rayo (RS Racing Kennel), eighth.

CET Dirty Dilly, trained by Brittany Dailey and owned by Carl Tomblin II, posted 42 wins, 9 seconds and 1 fourth in 55 starts in 2021. The sprinter was the national win leader.
