The $65,000 West Virginia Greyhound Owners and Breeders Association Panhandle Championship (5/16th) kicks off Friday afternoon, Nov. 13, at Wheeling Island with a field of 31 sprinters entered.
Heading the list of entries is CG’s Penny Shoe, the winner of the recent $100,000 Mountaineer Classic Sprint Stakes. Littermate CG’s Sneaker, who captured last year’s WVGOBA Juvenile, is in the field.
The second round of the stakes event will be held on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 18, with the semifinals during the matinee card on Sunday, Nov. 22. The Panhandle stakes championship is scheduled for Saturday afternoon, Nov. 28.
