The $65,000 West Virginia Greyhound Owners and Breeders Association Keystone Championship kicks off Friday, Oct. 6, at Wheeling Island with a field of 24 middle distance runners.

Seven kennels – A Ray, Code Red, Imark, Patriot/Taplin, Steve Sarras, Wayne Ward and Xtrem Hess Racing – have entered West Virginia-bred greyhounds in the stakes event.

The second round will be held on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 11, and the semifinals on Sunday matinee, Oct. 15. The Keystone Championship final is scheduled for Saturday afternoon, Oct. 21.
