Finalists set for WVGOBA Panhandle Sprint

Code Red Kennel’s Arroyo Amanda tops all qualifiers for the Saturday afternoon, Nov. 22, final of the $65,000 West Virginia Greyhound Owners and Breeders Association Panhandle Sprint Championship at Wheeling Island.

            Arroyo Amanda posted a pair of victories and a second in the three qualifying rounds to accumulate a total of 40 points. Next in line is Neptune (Steve Sarras Kennel) with 32 points on the strength of two victories and a sixth in the preliminary rounds.

Completing the championship field are Arroyo Falcon (Xtrem Hess Racing Kennel) and Snoqualmie Falls (Steve Sarras Kennel), 28 points each; GLS Lucky Lass (Jacobs Racing Kennel), 27 points; CET Vera (Imark Kennel), 26 points; Wild Money Honey (Xtrem Hess Racing Kennel) and Arroyo Braxton (Code Red Kennel), 24 points each.

            Post positions for the final, from the rail out, follow: 1—Arroyo Braxton, 2—Snoqualmie Falls, 3—Arroyo Amanda, 4—GLS Lucky Lass, 5—Neptune, 6—CET Vera, 7—Arroyo Falcon, 8—Wild Money Honey.
