MAC'S TAYLORANNE WINS WVGOBA JUVENILE

Long shot Mac’s Tayloranne stunned the field by posting a box-to-wire victory Saturday afternoon in the final of the $35,000 West Virginia Greyhound Owners and Breeders Association Juvenile at Wheeling Island.

Sent to post at 11-1 odds, Mac’s Tayloranne roared out to an early 4-length lead before holding off CET Dirty Dilly by a head at the wire in 30.14. CET Wreckitralph rounded out the trifecta ticket, just 1 ½ lengths back.

Completing the final field were Baby Face Nelson, fourth; Go On Horse, fifth; CET Ozzy, sixth; CET Motley Crew, seventh; and Coach Oh Boy, eighth.

Mac’s Tayloranne, owned by Patrick McMillon, raced out of the A Ray Kennel at Wheeling and trained by Joe Palmer.
