Lester Raines Kennel’s RS’s Krakatau is the lone undefeated greyhound after the second round of the $35,000 West Virginia Greyhound Owners and Breeders Association Juvenile Stakes Wednesday afternoon at Wheeling Island.
RS’s Krakatau posted his second consecutive victory to top the leaderboard with 30 points heading into Sunday’s semi-finals. Jacobs Racing Kennel sprinters GLS Rice Baby and GLS Yes I Did are next in line with 20 points each.
Code Red Kennel’s Arroyo Ashton posted the other second round victory Wednesday.
The juvenile stake final is scheduled for Saturday afternoon, Sept. 27.

Favorite RS’s Krakatau stalked frontrunner GLS Rice Baby around the track before taking control in the stretch and pulling away to a 4-length victory in 30.17. TS Olive rounded out the trifecta ticket.
Longshot Arroyo Ashton rocketed to an early lead and never looked back in winning by 4 1/2 lengths in 30.16. TS Pepperoni was second followed by RS’s Kilimanjaro.
