WVGOBA Juvenile kicks off at Wheeling

            Three young sprinters posted easy first round victories in the $35,000 West Virginia Greyhound Owners and Breeders Association Juvenile Stake Friday afternoon, Sept. 11, at Wheeling Island.

            Topping the leaderboard with 15 points each after the first round are RS’sToomuchjuice (Lester Raines Kennel), GLS Marlyn (Jacobs Racing Kennel) and Cannon Fire (Steve Sarras Kennel).

            The second round is set for Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 16, with the semifinals during the Sunday matinee card on Sept. 20. The championship final will be held on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 26.

            Capsule looks at the first-round races follow:

            RS’sToomuchjuice rushed to an early lead and never looked back in romping to victory by 9 ½ lengths in 30.18. CET Psycho Suzi was second followed by Arroyo Outlaw.

            GLS Marlyn broke sharp, powered to the lead and was never seriously challenged in winning by 2 ½ lengths in 30.10. Cooper N Kings was second, and Lunchroom Hottie rounded out the trifecta ticket.

            Cannon Fire posted a box-to-wire 2-length victory in 30.16. Mystic Samisue took second while Oldheartofmine was third.
