The $65,000 West Virginia Greyhound Owners and Breeders Association Panhandle Championship kicks off Friday, Oct. 7, at Wheeling Island with a field of 25 sprinters.

The second round is set for Wednesday, Oct. 12, and the semifinals on Sunday, Oct. 16. The championship final will be Friday afternoon, Oct. 21.

CET Barracuda, winner of the WVGOBA Juvenile Championship in late September, is entered in the Panhandle sprint stakes.
